FORMER Ireland and Leinster winger Dave Kearney and his wife Becca have welcomed their first child.
The pair took to Instagram as they shared pictures of their newborn captioned with a heartfelt post.




The brother of Rob Kearney ended his playing career last October with the Chicago Hounds, for whom he signed in 2023.
The former Leinster winger earned 19-caps from Ireland from 2013-2019, and won ten major honours with his club side before heading Stateside in 2023.
He played in every minute of the 2014 Six Nations, helping Ireland to win the title, and started in four of their games at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The couple posted a touching caption along with a number of photos on social media.
Dave and Becca have named the child Zach Michael.
An Instagram post read: “Welcome to the world, Zach Michael Kearney 28.12.24.
“Carrying you over the past 9 months has been the greatest privilege of my life.
“Having you join us in the world is a love and excitement that words cannot describe. We love you so much. X.”
Friends of Becca and Dave soon congratulated the pair on the new arrival as the commented on the snaps.
One wrote: “Huge huge congrats guys he is just beautiful.”
While Georgie Crawford penned: “BECCA!!! So so happy for you both how gorgeous is Zach.”
While another posted: “Another massive congratulations to the pair!”
The couple tied the knot in 2023.
Dave and Becca went public with their relationship in March 2019 but generally keep quite a low profile.
She is a qualified yoga teacher and holds a Science Master’s in Mindfulness Interventions from UCD.
Dave popped the question in January 2022 before the couple became officially husband and wife after marrying at the Civil Registry.
