A MAN has caused outrage after sharing a brutal Facebook Marketplace post begging strangers to buy his ex fiancé’s wedding dress.

The scorned man listed the dress for just £5, and included a bitterly worded description.

The listing had a cruel description[/caption]

In the title, he cruelly described the dress as being “size fat”.

And the insults didn’t stop there, as in the description, he described his former lover’s dress as being “chavvy” and fit for “a sl****r”.

The Facebook listing reads: “Wedding dress – would fit the larger lady, quite chavvy in style so would suit a cheap sl**per.

“Had a lucky escape so its brand new, which is more than could be said for the intended wearer’s well worn vagina.”

The man then went on to say that he would not be posting the dress, and that it would be available for collection only.

Finishing off his cruel rant, the man said that he thought the dress was a size 12, but added that his ex was “prone to lying” so it could be a size 14 or size 16.

The harsh post made it’s way to X, where in less than 24 hours, it had racked up over 1.2 million views.

Social media users raced to share their thoughts, with many people extremely unimpressed by the man’s choice of words.

One X user said: “This says more about him than it does her.”

Another said: “I think it’s a beautiful dress. She’s probably the lucky one to get out of the relationship.”

A third said: “Noooo, but she looked stunning.

“I’m glad she didn’t marry him.”

A fourth added: “”Size fat is absolutely diabolical.”

How to pick the perfect wedding dress

Wedding season is in full swing, but when it comes to picking your perfect dress, most new brides-to-be probably feel a bit clueless.

As someone who’s tying the knot in August 2024, Josie Griffiths, deputy digital Fabulous editor and bride-to-be, has shared her top tips…

  1. Give yourself time – unless you’re a sample size, dresses can take months to even arrive. Don’t stress yourself out by looking too late, in my opinion dress shopping should be the second thing on your list, right after finding a venue.
  2. Visit multiple shops – you don’t want to be buying on your first visit.
  3. But not too many – like a f***boy who can’t stop swiping on Tinder, having too much choice isn’t going to help you find The One.
  4. Take people with you – women who will be honest but also hype you up, unlike the mean relatives on Say Yes To The Dress, and ideally people from different areas of your life who won’t automatically say the same thing. I shopped with my mum and two best friends, who didn’t know each other and had different styles.
  5. Think it over – I returned to the shop before making my final decision on the dress I chose, re-trying it with my second favourite to make sure I was certain. It’s an expensive purchase, and you can’t send it back like you might your next Asos order, so take time to mull it over.

However, others appeared to see the funny side of the post.

One person said: “That’s absolutely tremendous.”

A second person said: “That might be the best thing I’ve seen on Facebook marketplace!”
