SHANE LOWRY will have a rock-solid support base when he takes to the tee for the the opening round of the Masters.
The popular Offaly man is one of the most fancied European players to land a green jacket at Augusta National.

His fine form across 2025 so far has seen him rise to a career-high 12th in the world rankings.
The 38-year-old has been given a 24/1 chance by oddsmakers to end up being the lucky one who gets to throw on the Green Jacket when the final round finishes up on Sunday.
Lowry is partnered up for the first two days with 2021 winner Hideki Matsuyama and two-time US Open king Bryson Dechambeau.
Lets take a look insides the popular Irishman’s family life ahead of his Thursday tee time in Georgia.
Who is Shane Lowry’s wife Wendy?
Lowry first met his partner Wendy Honner in 2012 on a night-out, and popped the question just two years later.
They got engaged in 2014, and got married in April 2016.
Rather than a glitzy wedding, it was a low-key affair where they exchanged vows in New York with a small reception afterwards amongst family and friends.
Wendy wore a stunning, Stephanie Allin-designed wedding dress and accessorised with pink heels and a light shawl as they newly weds for photos
In 2018, they pair moved the United States as the Clara star focused primarily on America’s lucrative PGA Tour.
How many kids do they have?
Shane and Wendy have two young daughters.
Eldest, Iris, was born in 2017 and is already showing signs of an interest in golf.
On the eve of The Masters, both Lowry and his pal Rory McIlroy were blown away by their daughters’ respective skills.
Rory was caddied by wife Erica whilst their daughter Poppy donned official attire too as she also tagged along.
The four-year-old did more than just that though as she exhibited the whole ‘apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’ saying on the ninth.
She gently caressed the ball down a tricky slope with it eventually trickling its way into the hole. Cue bedlam.

Shane Lowry was just as pumped as Rory, with the watching patrons also blown away by Poppy’s soft touch around Augusta’s infamously difficult greens.
Shane was equally aided around the course by other half Wendy and their daughters Iris and Ivy.
Both mam and dad reflected on what a joyful occasion they find it to be every year.
Wendy captioned one cute snap: “The best day”. Meanwhile Shane added: “Favourite Wednesday every year!”
In April 2021, meanwhile, Irish upstaged her famous dad’s putting skills in an adorable video on what was her first day on a golf course.
On the subject of firsts, last, Shane brought Iris to Croke Park for the first time to watch Limerick book an All-Ireland hurling final date with a win over Galway.
Their youngest daughter, Ivy was born in September 2021, and turned three last year.
