MAFS AUSTRALIA’S “most hated groom” has been accused of using a “fake name” on the show – as the reality star wipes all of his social media.
Fans were left fuming last night when primary school teacher Tim Groomie, 37, could not hide his disappointment at being matched with bubbly Katie Johnston on the show.

But if this wasn’t enough, it’s now emerged that the groom – who has deleted all of his social media following fan backlash – was using a “fake name” on the show.
An eagle-eyed fan decided to do some digging into Tim’s life, and has now revealed his true identity.
“I just did a deep dive on Tim on MAFS and there is something really weird going on. Before the show began Channel Nine put up contestant bios for everyone featured,’ the vlogger said on TikTok.
“Tim was there, but he was listed as Tim Andrews. Nine updated the bios and we can see the difference in the lingering Google data.
“He is now referred to as Tim Gromie and the media is referring to him as that which is a little odd, right?’
The TikToker added that Tim’s career in teaching would mean he would be registered on the Victorian Teachers Registry.
But when they looked, there was not a Tim Gromie listed, but a Timothy Andrews was.
“He must be registered, but I looked it up and no Tim Gromie appears. But when I put in Timothy Andrews someone does appear! Weird, right? It’s all just a bit off, like what is this guy trying to hide?’ she added.
It’s now emerged that Tim chose to use an alias on the show to “protect his teaching job”.
“He was really concerned about how being on the show would affect his career,” a source told Daily Mail Australia.
“He was already warned that being linked to MAFS could make it hard for him to get hired again, so he pushed for a name change to keep some distance between his TV persona and real-life profession.”
The outlet also confirmed that Gromie is one of Tim’s middle names.
OUTRAGE AT GROOM
Last night, MAFS fans watched in horror as Tim brutally rejected Katie.
Speaking to the camera, the groom slated his bride, as he insisted she was nothing like what he “would have wanted”.

Having pulled a producer to the side, he exclaimed: “What the f***?”
He continued: “Totally not what I wanted.
“It’s not good. I normally go just short, blonde. petite.
“Katie is like nothing that I would normally go for.”

Still raging, he said: “There’s no attraction, there’s nothing there and I can tell straight away. It’s just sort of like…”
He was then interrupted by the crew member who rightly pointed out: “You don’t even know her yet?!”
Tim spat back: “I know but if there is just nothing there – what do you do?
“It’s disappointing and I’m a bit embarrassed that I’ve come here now.”
Still attempting to talk sense into him as he appeared adamant he would not return to his seconds-old marriage with Katie, the producer said to Tim: “You can’t judge someone straight away from that short amount of time.”
Getting irate, Tim said: “I don’t want to be here, this is f***ed.
“I just feel like I’ve wasted my time. I just want to run away!”

KATIE IN TEARS
Later things went from bad to worst for Katie, after Tim rejected her.
After a barely talking to her on their wedding day, the next morning viewers were shown poor Katie in floods of tears.
Unable to hardly talk, because she was crying so much, she revealed her “worst nightmare” had come true, and her new husband “didn’t want her.”
