SHANE and Wendy Lowry rang in the new year in style by attending his brother’s wedding in the fabulous setting of Mayo’s Mount Falcon Estate.
It was Wendy who shared a quartet of images from a ‘gorgeous few days’ with an additional welcome to the family message to her new sister-in-law.

Amid the backdrop of the entire wedding party shrouded in black and white, she beamed: “The new Mr and Mrs Lowry!”
Wendy also shared a cute snap of the Lowry men ahead of the big day.
A quick glance at Alan’s page confirms it was a New Year’s Eve ceremony which are particularly tough to book given the extra demand that date always attracts.
It looks to have been a pretty magical Christmas period for the Offaly golf ace from start to finish.
Not only did they also witness the nuptials of two of their childhood friends a few days before Alan tied the knot, but Shane somehow fit in time to duet with Christy Moore along the way.
The 37-year-old shared a video of him and the Irish folk music legend performing ‘My Little Honda 50’.
At the end of the performance, Lowry teased the 79-year-old joining him on the golf course in 2025.
Moore asked: “Will you take me on tour next year?” with Lowry responding: “I will take you anywhere you want to go.”
The Kildare musician promptly offered to “carry your tea for you” which drew a giddy laugh from his Clara counterpart.
Posting the video on social media, the major winner said: “They say you shouldn’t meet your heroes but how wrong they were with this one.
“@christymoore45 you really are one of the greats”
The video caught the imagination of fans and has, to-date, been viewed over 220,000 times on Twitter alone.
Adam commented: “You are one lucky chap I tell you that mate” and Renata said: “Love him and even my 13-year-old knows all the words to Joxer goes to Stuttgart…This song always cheers us up.”
Owen said: “The Mighty Atom, that’s Christy Moore, never to be repeated, completely unique.”
Kyle quipped: “… just to be clear. Was @ShaneLowryGolf meeting one of his heroes or was @christymoore45 meeting one of his?
“BTW both of you are on my list of heroes!”
Claire remarked: “And here I was thinking we wouldn’t get Lowry singing content in 2024 after Rory did Zurich Classic karaoke on his own.”
Martin joked: “Classic, although the subtitle machine was struggling with the Kildare accent.”
Another Martin said: “Love it when some of my favourite things collide randomly like this.”
