PETER O’MAHONY was on the receiving end of banter from one of his Ireland teammates concerning his dress sense.
The 35-year-old joined his wife and kids in attending a Christening over the weekend.

For the occasion, he wore a velvet blazer, sky blue shirt, jeans, and a pair of runners.
His wife Jessica shared a host of pics from the Christening to Instagram, including a photo of the husband and wife in their full gear.
This prompted O’Mahony’s Ireland teammate Cian Healy to poke playful fun at his Ireland teammate’s outfit.
He said: “Who dressed Peter?” to which Jessica responded: “sure look he was weak”
Sunday proved to be a busy day for Peter O’Mahony who got extensive use of a Christmas gift he got from his missus.
The mother-of-three shared a pair of videos to her Instagram Story of her rugby icon hubby using the gift.
The gift was the Dyson WashG1 wet floor cleaner: a powerful, hygienic vacuum-like cleaner for hard floors which set her back €700.
O’Mahony, 35, was videoed using the device around the house, with Jessica joking: “I got his present right this year…”
The Ireland and Munster forward used the product while wearing Croscs, with Jessica remarking that the footwear was “not included”.
She added: “It’s like a mop and a vacuum at the same time! It’s actually unreal. Well he says it is!!”
The floor cleaning was part of an extensive job as the O’Mahony family got back to normal life following a busy Christmas period.
She quipped that ‘everyone’s got a job’ as it was all hands on deck getting preparations under way for Christmas dinner.
This included family members of varying ages making up a ‘spud conveyor belt’ as they got ready for tomorrow’s scrum-ptious main course.
Unfortunately, while her and Peter’s Instagram accounts provide a regular supply of gardening snaps, there was no image of the Munster legend donning an apron or holding back tears while chopping up onions.
But there was at least a cute pic of them and son Theo after the whole family’s work was done for the day and they were able to put their feet up.
A number of Irish sporting personalities had similarly busy festive celebrations.
Des Cahill shared a photo from a “special family Christmas dinner” as he revealed an amazing age difference between the youngest and eldest guests.
The RTE star reunited with his wider family for the festive period.
And in a photo on social media, he revealed that there was a 93 YEAR difference between the eldest and the youngest attendees.
He said: “Definitely a very special family Christmas dinner when there is a 93 year age gap between the youngest and the eldest.”
Elsewhere, Wendy Lowry was ‘head chef’ for the day according to her husband Shane as they celebrated Christmas with their daughters.
The golf ace and his family are primarily based in Jupiter Island, Florida, where Rory McIlroy is just one of several big-name neighbours.
Lowry didn’t indicate where they were for the big day, but based on the street aesthetic and mild-looking skyline we’d hazard a guess they were back home in Ireland for it.
Meanwhile, Damien Duff and his Shelbourne players brought Christmas cheer to kids during a visit to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
CHRISTMAS CHEER
The Republic of Ireland legend was joined by a number of his players from the men’s Premier Division winning side.
They were accompanied by members of the Shelbourne women’s squad that won the FAI Cup in 2024.
And rounding out the star-studded cast was Ireland and Leinster rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll.
The club’s Technical Director Luke Byrne posted: “In awe of the brilliant workers we met today on the wards in Temple St.
“Very proud of the club today and hope we brought a small bit of happiness to those amazing children”
His fellow Ireland hero, Katie McCabe, opted for a Christmas abroad as she travelled to Australia with her partner Caitlin Foord.
The Girls in Green shared a loved up set of pics with Foord as they attended a friend’s wedding.
During the festive period, they were guests to the wedding of Emily Van Egmond and Kat Thompson.
