RTE Fair City star Ryan Andrews has opened up about his fear before his first child arrived earlier this year.
The actor, who’s best known for his role as Sean Cassidy in the hit soap, officially married his long-term love Michaela O’Neill in a registry office ceremony in Dublin November 2022.

They had their lavish ceremony wedding with all their family and friends in Port de Sóller in July 2023.
The happy couple expanded on their family as they welcomed their first child back in September.
They revealed their son, Rowen James Andrews, was born on Monday, September 16, 2024.
For the first time Ryan has opened up about the experience of becoming a father.
He told VIP: “I was so still, just staring at him for about ten minutes. I didn’t know how to get to the next stage, like lifting him or picking him up. Michaela says that I’m still like that.”
Ryan joked that he he “still feels 15” and outlined the change in perspective that occurred upon becoming a father.
He said: “Seeing the two of them together is surreal, it’s still weird. I still feel like I’m 15 and shouldn’t have a baby!
“I’ve a totally new perspective though. I want to impact him with nothing but love, happiness and positivity in his life.”
The Fair City star explained that despite being a parent, his other main priority is to check in on his wife and support her as best he can.
He explained: “Both of us are for Rowen but what’s most important is that we’re both there for each other.
“I want to support her as best I can. We’re still giving time to each other, doing all the same things that we did before he arrived so nothing in our relationship has changed in that sense.
“If anything I would say it’s just been enhanced. It is about adjusting from your old life to this new one. There’s definitely huge changes, but we are very lucky with Rowan; he is so happy and so placid.”
Ryan wasn’t the only Carraigstown resident to welcome a baby in the last few months as fellow co-star Rebecca Grimes welcomed a baby girl.
