“Baby Girl Dara Donegan arrived last week. We are so completely in love.”

She then joked: “And now all the heartburn makes sense. #Hairybaby #StormDara.”

The RTE star’s fans and friends all flocked to the comments to gush over the sweet post and congratulate her.

Rebecca recently recalled the moment an iconic actress “slapped her across the face”.

She started on Fair City when she was just 17-years-old and was starstruck by all the iconic actors.

Her first big storyline was an affair with Carrigstown’s ‘love rat’ Paul Brennan, played by Tony Tormey, who was married to Clelia Murphy’s character Niamh Cassidy.

Speaking of the iconic storyline on the RTE show, Rebecca said: “It was gas. It was very special because I was his affair number 17.

‘BIG MOMENT’

“So that was really – a big moment. It was a great craic. And people still like to comment on it.

“It’s funny. I was only in the show a week when it happened. People still love to slag me over it.

“It was so funny, like Clelia Murphy going for me.”

The soap had an all-female episode to mark International Women’s Day in 2017 and Rebecca recalled Clelia having to slap her across the face.

Rebecca was in stitches laughing as she said: “And when I tell you she slapped me across the face!

“You can cheat things, you know, so that you do it, but it doesn’t hurt, but… I took it. I took it like a champ.

“If I wanted to be slapped by anybody, it would be Clelia.

“Stuff like that is always great, the kind of saucy stuff is a bit of craic.”
