DOIREANN Garrihy has finally tied the knot with her husband Mark Mehigan today.
The happy couple got married at a lavish star-studded ceremony in the K Club on Friday.

The pair first met back in 2022 and it was seemingly a match made in heaven with Mark getting down on one knee only a year later.
But how did the sparks first fly between the pair?
BEFORE MARK
Doireann had been in a long-term relationship with her previous partner, Paddy Wilson.
The pair had gone from strength to strength after first meeting in 2019, however after moving in together during the COVID-19 Pandemic they ultimately called it quits in March 2022.
The then 29-year-old revealed she had spilt from Paddy while asking Michael Buble for advice on one episode of The Laughs of Your Life.
She said: “I’m 30 next month, I’m recently out of a relationship, what would your advice be to me hurtling into the thirties?”
In response, Micheal said: “I have a feeling that I don’t have to give you this advice because you strike me as a person that already instinctually understands, be in this moment.”
AFFAIR WARNING
After her split from Paddy, Doireann was still at her post in 2FM and at the time Mark’s cousin John John was a producer at the station.
John John was heading to one of Mark’s comedy gigs, which left Doireann intrigued and she soon found her self looking up his Instagram.
After some hesitation Doireann slid into his DM’s by sending him a smiley face – which led to Mark eventually inviting her to a gig.
The popular presenter recalled on her podcast, that many of her friends warned her against meeting up with Mark, because he gave off “f*** boy vibes” however she insisted she “has a good radar for this”.
Mark recalled their first interaction in a recent interview: “She slid into my DMs, she sent me about 15 laughing emojis, and you know as well as I know once you go over three laughing emojis, you’re flirting.”
FIRST DATE
After a few texts, both were unsure of where the land lay until a phone call from a mutual friend, James Kavanagh, got the ball rolling.
The pair kept their first meet-up simple heading to Dun Laoghaire and walking up to Killiney.
Doireann aditmitted there was an “energy in the room” during their first date.
She later recalled how nervous Mark was on there first date, which led Doireann to go straight in for the kill and ended up eventually kissing him first.
Mark recently had this to say about their first date: “I texted one of my friends after our first date, and I was around 13 months sober, and was like, ‘That’s the first time in the last 13 months that I haven’t felt like an alcoholic’.”
“I don’t really like the phrase ‘when you know, you know’ because this is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before in my life, and Doireann is like nobody I’ve ever met before in my life.
“But there’s sides of myself that I’m showing her that I wasn’t even aware that I had.”
STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
Doireann made their relationship public in December 2022, when she posted a photo of herself and Mark at Powerscourt hotel over Christmas.
By June the pair had moved in together in Dun Laoirge where Mark was living at the time.
The couple accidentlly let it slip that they had moved in on an episode of Doireann’s podcast, Doireann and Friends.
Mark was making fun of Doireann when he let the new slip: “We’re sleeping in separate beds now we can’t it’s a one-bedroom apartment we live in.
“She’s moved in with me.”
MOVES AND ENGAGEMENT
By November – Mark managed to get down on one knee and propose to his girlfriend of just over a year.
Before the proposal Doireann and Mark and left Dun laoghaire in favour of her home town Castleknock, and it was there in the Phoenix park that Mark proposed.
Doireann retold the story on her podcast: “He stops and says, ‘Doireann take your sunglasses off’ and I was like, ‘What?’ and he’s like, ‘Just take them off I want to be able to look at you’. And I put the sunglasses up on my head and he gets down on one knee!”
She gushed: “He then puts his hand inside his jacket pocket and I was in such shock that I screamed, ‘Stand up!’ and as he stood up and started proposing to me it all dawned on me and I went, ‘Get back down!’.
“And then he was back down and his knee was sopping wet from the hailstones. And then he did a whole speech and popped out the ring and I nearly died.”
The TV star described the proposal as “the strangest feeling in the world” as she explained: “It’s a moment in your life where you need to remember every single thing, but you also cannot believe you’re getting engaged so you’re just going ‘is this what it feels like to get engaged? While also trying to take in what their saying.”
DOIR’S BIG DAY
The pair said exchanged vows at the stunning K Club, Kildare today.
The love birds celebrated in style at the five-star hotel surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
Doireann’s former 2FM hosts Carl Mullan and Donncha O’Callaghan attended the event.
Doireann previously revealed that her “talented” pals would be contributing to her wedding.
Speaking on The Six O’Clock Show earlier this month, she said: “I don’t think I’m a bridezilla, I mean there is a lot of time for me to get there, I could be.
“The main things are done, the big things are done, it’s now the kind of fire details of the ceremony – that’s a lovely one actually.”
