RTE star Doireann Garrihy left her mum crying “how dare you” after she played a hilarious prank.
The Dancing With The Stars host has an adorable bond with her mum Clare and is known for poking fun at her on social media.
Doireann took to Instagram this morning to share a clip of herself on the way to a gym session.
The 32-year-old explained: “Okay, so not long ago my mum discovered a local gym and she has been advocating for me to join her in the gym for months.
“But I’ve been like, ‘No mum, I have an existing gym’, but she was going away and I thought, ‘While she’s away, I’ll try it’.
“And she was not wrong, it’s a fantastic gym and a fantastic set-up, So I said I would surprise her and rock up on a day that I knew she was coming, and here’s how she took it.”
The former 2FM star then attached a video of herself running up to her mum’s car outside the new gym and opening the door.
Claire jumped up and shouted: “Oh lord almighty.”
Once she realised it was Doireann she laughed and asked: “What’s the story?”
Doireann then replied: “Where have been, I’ve done three weeks of classes here?”
Claire opened her mouth in shock and exclaimed: “Stop it, stop it, you are joking me!”
She then hopped out of the car and stood speechless in the car park before crying: “How dare you go to my gym, he’s my man.”
Doireann was in fits of laughter in the background as her mum reacted to the news.
The host then jokingly asked: “This is my third week you drab, where have you been?”
Claire hilariously responded: “I was in Tuscany and then I was in Spain? What the hell?”
She then became serious as she added: “Oh Doireann, isn’t he brilliant? Isn’t he just brilliant.”
Doireann is currently gearing up for her wedding day which is set to take place before the end of this year.
The bride-to-be and her best-selling author fiance Mark Mehigan got engaged last November 2023.
The pair are preparing to tie the knot at the K Club in Kildare in the coming weeks.

The bride-to-be has revealed that it’s time for her to start wearing the “white gems” that she has been collecting ahead of her big day.
Doireann took to Instagram show off one of the fabulous white frocks from the collection.
The presenter looked incredible as she modelled a classy white mini dress with floral detailing.
The dress was a loose fit and had long mesh sleeves and a round neckline.
There were a number of white flowers stitched onto the front of the dress and they each had a small silver jewel in the centre.
Doireann revealed that she purchased her dress from Sister Jane.
The host opted to style the dress with a pair of silver glittery heels and silver jewellery.
She wore her hair down in curls and completed her outfit with a glam makeup look.
