The mum-of-four is now preparing to fight for half of his £27 million fortune as their relationship “turns ugly”.
Sources said they are no longer on speaking terms and the Manchester City defender, 34, is also consulting lawyers.

Tiger Woods, 48, and Elin Nordegren, 44, finalised their divorce in August 2010 after five years of marriage.
Elin, a Swedish model who was just 22-years-old when she shacked up with the American golfer, finally gave him a chance in 2003 after he had been “trying his luck for months”.
At the time, she was an au pair for fellow-Swede golfer Jesper Parnevik’s children, which is how she was first acquainted with Tiger.
By 2004, they were married. And by 2009, they had welcomed two children – daughter Sam and son Charlie.
The couple divorced after Tiger was accused of cheating with at least 120 women in 2009 – something Elin verified after going through his phone while he was asleep.
Their divorce was finalised in August 2020 and Elin walked away with a tasty £77 million ($100 million).
Ryan Giggs & Stacey Cooke – £24m
Ryan Giggs is considered one of the greatest wingers in football history – and one of the greatest cheaters.
The 50-year-old from Cardiff tied the knot with long-term girlfriend Stacey Cooke, 53, in September 2007, but the pair divorced 10 years later.
Why? Ryan had been sleeping with his younger brother Rhodri’s wife, Natasha Lever, for a shameful eight years.

KYLE Walker was served divorce papers by wife and long-term partner Annie Kilner this month.
The England ace, who had been with childhood sweetheart Annie for 15 years, fathered two love children with influencer Lauryn Goodman during their relationship.
Annie, 32, met Kyle, 34, when she was 16 and he was 18 playing for his hometown club Sheffield United.
The couple secretly wed in November 2021 – but now, Annie has filed for divorce.
The Sun revealed that the mum-of-four delivered the bombshell news to the ace after instructing lawyers to begin legal proceedings to end their marriage.

The model reportedly demanded £10 million of his estimated £25 million fortune.
Their split was legally finalised in December 2008, soon after Thierry’s move from North London to Barcelona.

The couple were married for 17 years and welcomed three children, but finally dissolved their marriage in December 2006.
It came after they first filed for divorce in 2002, but then reconciled for another four years.
It is reported that Juanita received over £125 million ($168 million) through the settlement, which made it the largest celebrity divorce settlement on public record at the time.
The sporting icon, who has an estimated net worth of £2.7 billion according to Forbes, married his second wife Yvette Prieto in 2013.
